Month 8: Weeks 29-32

Doctor visits

Month 8 baby progress illustrationThis month, you’ll see your doctor every two weeks, then once a week as you approach your due date. As you near the end of your pregnancy, monitoring the baby’s overall health, movement and heart rate will be very important.

Your baby

Feeling jabs and punches from your baby (some can be pretty strong) is normal at this stage in your pregnancy. Your baby is adding important layers of fat to keep him warm after birth. By the end of the eighth month, your baby is 11 inches long and weighs about 4 pounds.
